A message from Rancho Santa Margarita city council member Jesse Petrilla:

Greetings from Afghanistan! It has been over three months since I left California, and I just wanted to send all my friends and supporters back home this quick note to say hello.

Thankfully, in the few moments that I have to myself, I am able to keep in touch with my family and friends via e-mail, Skype, and Facebook. I also still read the Orange County Register as often as I can to stay informed about what is going on back home.

Below, I have included a few photos from my journey so far. My experience here has been incredible, and is something I will remember for my entire life.

Thank you to all those who continue to send me so many well wishes; you make me proud to serve.
